I was a little surprised at this total. The price is moving up and I'm pretty sure that just before game time, there will be a lot of places using a flat 3 on the game. Right now, there are some 2 1/2 's and some 2 3/4 's. As always, shop around.

Germany's defense stinks. Oliver Kahn can't stop a beach ball. Their offense is good and they're on the field to put on an entertaining show for the home fans in this tournament. Depending on what numbers you got on the totals so far, all four games went over the first two days. This makes five.

Tunisia will play hard and I think they'll get at least one goal and perhaps two. I can see Germany putting home three and I feel this game will fly over.

yes you are right, our defense is struggeling big time right now. Huth the main weak link will be playing again, so there m ight be some struggeling again, although klinsmann said that they will put more efford in a solid defensive outing.

Kahn is not playing today and Lehmann is trying to keep things clean today (Germany is rotating goalies at the moment).

I like your reason that germany is out to entertain the fans with offense. that's what the coach always stresses out that he wants to bring the fun back to the german game. you can see this especially with the young guns like podolski and schweinsteiger. So the over is a great play.

its an obvious play but the right one here. Tunisia will use their quick attacking duo and sound confident they can score on Germany. German coach has stressed he will not abandon his offensive tactics. From what I heard Tunisia was fortunate to have only conceded 2 goals to Argentina. I watched the Germany/Australia game and I'm convinced this game must have at least 3 goals, could possibly be another 5-6-7 goal game.

So I would assume that you all would play on over 1 and 1.5 at +105 at Pinny in the 1st half as well, correct? Figure even just a lone goal gets back half your $$$? Normally I don't bet a heck of a lot of soccer, but I'll join in on this one since it seems like sharps are all over this play as well as the folks here. Best of luck.

Guru,

Generally more goals are scored in the 2nd halves of games. Line is about right.

I can imagine more goals being scored in 2nd halves, as dog teams (like Tunisia) can end up going all out to score a possible equalizer and end up conceding very easily after wearing out (especially with a defense as bad as Germany's from what it sounds like). My concern about the 2nd half of this particular game, is that it seems a big dog team will lay back and try to make sure they get at least a point from the match if it is, for example 1-1 in the 70th minute. Would such a thing be true from this particular competition?

Sure there are scenario's where a team would try to defend a good result. Just part of the game. Inferior opponents will always play for a draw, especially on the road.

This is just all calculated into the line already though, wouldn't overthink possible situations.

Germany will score at least 2, this is almost a certainty.

Personally I only fear the 2-0 result.

Hopefully this fear will not become reality...

yes, chriscol mentioned that above.

Lehmann may be a slight upgrade, nothing significant.

*Off to watch the game on a 10-15 minute delay. Will check back for halftime thoughts.

If we're confident the Germans still score 2, over 1.5 at +111? Or Germany ml -150?

Sorry for this BS pick, Germany missed 2 breakaways but apart from that it has been a dull game. Both teams altered their lineups to play a more structured game.

Tunisia looks pretty good also, wouldn't be shocked if they got something out of this game.

Nice little flurry there at the end... SoccerStand says the first goal by Germany was in the 8th minute?!? Why didn't it show up until about the 70th minute of the game? Sure it was just a typo on their behalf. Nicely done today gentlemen. Thanks for the selection.

very, very fortunate here.

Guru 1st goal was scored in about 75th min on a penalty. Was really against the run of play. Tunisia was have good possession and looked dangerous. After the penalty Tunisia obviously had to change their tactics and there was a bit more room for Germany. Still to score 2 more in the last 15 minutes is fortunate.

Was also unaware Tunisia had rested 7 starters vs. Argentina because they felt they had little chance against the S. American champs and a better shot against Germany.

It wasn't a good selection, just a good result. Glad every1 won.
